Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MyInspector (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register or sign in, we may collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers (including when you use third-party sign-in providers such as Google or Apple, as permitted by those providers).

Content you provide. We collect information you submit through the app, such as inspection data, photos, notes, property or client-related information, and messages you send to support.

Device and technical data. We may collect device type, operating system, app version, diagnostic logs, and similar technical information needed to operate and secure the Services.

Usage data. We may collect information about how you interact with the app (e.g., features used, timestamps) to improve performance and user experience.

Push notifications. If you opt in, we may process a device token to deliver notifications. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • Authenticate users and enforce security;
  • Generate reports and sync data across your authorized devices and team members as designed in the product;
  • Communicate with you about the Services, support requests, and important updates;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the safety of users.

3. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area or UK), we process personal data on bases such as: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (operating and securing the Services), consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligation.

4. Sharing of information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who assist us with hosting, authentication, analytics, email delivery, crash reporting, or push notifications, subject to contractual protections;
  • Your organization or other users you collaborate with inside the app, according to product settings and your administrator’s configuration;
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is commonly understood under U.S. state privacy laws.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of data and legal requirements.

6. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Third-party services

The app may contain links or integrations with third-party services. Their collection and use of information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read those policies.

11. California residents (summary)

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct certain personal information and to opt out of certain sharing (we do not sell personal information as defined above). Contact us to submit a request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
